Meeting Reminder

Just a reminder that our meeting is this Wednesday, 7 p.m. at the Methodist Church, Hubble St, Pulaski. Please note the location change (for this meeting only.)

Questions and Answers

A new feature at our meetings is a brief question and answer session. Here are the questions and answers from the April meeting.

Q. Where can you buy horse manure?
A. It might be available at Agway. There are two horse farms in the area. One is outside Mannsville on Rt. 90 East and another one, the Double MM Farm is on Route 69 near Kenyon Road.

Q. Is there a local source for ladybug eggs or larvae?
A. Unfortunately, no.

Q. What should you do before you rota-till your garden this spring?
A. Get a soil test. One place to take your dirt is the Cooperative Ext. on Main St. next to the fire hall in Mexico. It will be around $10 and they are very helpful.

Q. What do you do with the bulbs from Easter plants?
A. You can put them in the ground right now where they will get as much sunshine as possible. Or you can let the foliage die and put them in the ground when it is a little warmer.
