September Newsletter

SEPTEMBER

I can't believe Summer is over, school has started, and the nights are getting so cool!! In August though, we had our club picnic at Barb Smith's garden. It was a beautiful evening and as always there was great food!!

*****Thank you Barb****

There were several containers brought to the picnic for the contest. They ranged from a "Funky Junky" old chicken feeder with Hens n' Chicks to "Traditional" urns and planters. Jan Tighe won with her traditional tall urn, overflowing with wonderful plants.

NEXT MEETING...SEPTEMBER 21st, PULASKI WESLEYAN CHURCH

PARKING LOT PLANT EXCHANGE (rain or shine) 6:30pm-7:00pm

The speaker this month works at Jefferson County Co-operative Extentsion, and will talk to us about trees and shrubs. This would be an excellent opportunity to invite a friend who is interested in gardening and our club.

Refreshments will be provided by Betty Perkins, Karen Paterniti, Becky Kennedy, and Vic Ladd-deGraff.
