Got a Minute?

I just heard from Jeanne M. and she needs your help weeding the gardens in Sandy Creek.
"I know everyone has his/her own weeds, but I'm overwhelmed!"

There's a garden at each Route 81 exit and two in the lot just south of the library. So when you are traveling through take a few minutes to stop and pull a weed or two! I know Jeanne would appreciate but so would the entire community.

Many hands make for light work!

Picnic & Gathering of Gardeners

Don't forget that there is no regular meeting this week. Instead we will have our picnic at Herta & Bill's on Saturday. Details and a map can be found here.

The Master Gardeners of Monroe County will be hosting their Thirteenth Annual Gathering of Gardeners Symposium on September 12th. The program lasts all day and they also have a very nice plant sale. The cost is $48 per person, however there is a $5 discount if you register by August 1st. There is also a group rate of $38 each if five or more register together by August 1st. If you are interested in attending please contact me by email or at 299 - 2490 before July 23rd (I'll be on vacation after that.) If someone else is willing to handle reservations between the 24th and 31st please let me know. If we can get a group together we can plan to car pool.

If you know of any other tours or symposiums that are coming up please let me know so I can spread the word.

June Recap

Our Garden Tour and Plant Sale went very well and both were a great success earning just under $600 for the Club! Yeah!!We had great signage thanks to Dan and Nancy Daily and Nancy Cheever. There was a threat of showers all day and even a sprinkle or two but that didn't stop anyone from enjoying the five gardens. A great big THANK YOU to our garden HOSTS, their HELPERS and ALL our VOLUNTEERS who helped make this special event possible! Weren’t the Gardens a DELIGHT!!

Several club members met at the Oswego County Fair to set up our booth and it looks fantastic! The Fair will run from July 1st though the 5th so try and get out and see our booth and all the other entries.

Get Well Wishes
Several of our club members have had or will have surgery soon. Phil Reed, Mike Nitsky and Clayton Crandall. Please keep them in mind and prayer.

Planning Ahead

On August 19th, at 7:00 pm, we will be having our Books 'N Blooms meeting at the Pulaski Public Library. Pick any book and create a flower arrangement based on the book title or theme. Fiction, children's literature or even a cookbook - the choice is yours. The club members will judge the arrangements on Wednesday and prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd & 3rd place. The general public will judge the following 2 days. Refreshments by: Diane Crandall, Marianne Moser & Claire Witter. Please bring the refreshments to the library.

There were simply too many pictures from the tour to include here so I have created a slide show and it was hard to choose just a few pictures from each garden. If you are reading this as an email and can't see it, click here.
