Without the "last minute" I'd never get anything done. With our Garden Tour and Plant Sale just a couple of days away the last minute is here! The tour and sale is this Saturday, June 20th, at the Pulaski Wesleyan Church on Route 11 from 10 - 2.
If you signed up to bring refreshments get baking! If you didn't sign up but can bring something please do. Refreshments should be dropped off at the church at 9 a.m.
Hopefully everyone has been busy potting up plants for the sale but if you're like me and haven't yet, there is still time. Please be sure to label your plants with as much information as possible - name, color, sun or shade, height, bloom time, etc. The more information you can provide the better. Plants should be dropped off at the church by 9 a.m. However if you are unable to drop them off Saturday you may drop them off on Friday after 6 p.m. They should be left under the big tree in the yard next to the church parking lot.
We have three tents to set up on Saturday morning and lots of other little things that will need to be done so if you can help out please be at the church between 8:30 and 9:00. Many hands make for light work!
See you Saturday!

June Newsletter
May Recap
The club’s first annual plant sale was a great success! The club realized $614.00. Many thanks to Nancy Cheever and her committee: Herta Wilson and Diane and Clayton Crandall.
At this time the South Park is reserved for the second plant sale May 2010, the same day as the village wide garage sales and the Mason’s chicken Bar-B-Q. Secured at the same time was reservation for June 2010, for the start of the Garden Tour.
Guest speakers for the May meeting were Ron & Donna James, and Jan Smith. Donna and Ron presented first with information regarding Hostas, and Iris’s. Ron and Donna own Enchantment Acres between Fulton and Hannibal. They have over 2500 species of Hosta, and I am sure as many species of Iris’s. Enchanted Acres will have a sale, auction and picnic August 2, 2009 from 10-2 PM. July 11 and 12 they will have a train garden tour.
Our second speaker, Jan Smith is a master gardener specializing in Iris’s. She shared her wealth of information acquired thru many years as showing and judging Irises.

Sincere THANKS to all that volunteered and there are still some volunteers needed. And of course, we need plants to sell, so please start potting them up now so they will look great! Plants should be labeled with as much information as possible and dropped off at the church no later than 9:00 on June 20th.
E-mail buddy system was suggested by Jan Tighe to keep members without e-mails up to date on happenings between newsletters. This will be discussed at June meeting with more details.
Planning Ahead
July 1-5 is the Oswego County Fair. The fair theme this year is “For the Love of Flowers”. The booths competition theme is “Backyard Pleasures”. Nancy Daley encourages all of us to enter flower arrangements and live plants for the club booth. If you would like to volunteer to help, contact Marci Groman, at 387-3329. Club will set up booth June 30th.
Reserve July 18th for a picnic and meeting at Herta and Bill Wilson’s house in Adams. More information to follow, but, please save the date.
