This week, Wednesday, 7:00 pm, we will be having our Books 'N Blooms meeting at the Pulaski Public Library. Pick any book and create a flower arrangement based on the book title or theme. Fiction, children's literature or even a cookbook - the choice is yours. The club members will judge the arrangements on Wednesday and prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd & 3rd place. The general public will judge the following 2 days. The more that participate the more fun it will be!
Refreshments by: Diane Crandall, Marianne Moser & Claire Witter. Please bring the refreshments to the library.

August Newsletter
Books and Blooms
The August meeting will be held at the Pulaski Public Library at 7:00PM on Wednesday August 19th.
Pick a book - any book and create a floral arrangement to illustrate it. It can be a childrens book, book of poetry, the latest novel or a favorite classic, the choice is yours. There will be a good size space for each entry so you may bring something to put under your arrangement such as a tray or cloth. You may also bring other things to help illustrate your design. Get creative and have fun with this!
The entries need to be picked up on Saturday, August 22nd by noon, but if you can’t, Nancy Dailey will be able to collect it. There will be a short meeting. If you have any questions regarding the Books and Bloom you can call Nancy at 298-4336.
Busy Summer
Phill, Mike, and Clayton are all doing well from their surgeries.
Jeanne has mentioned needing help weeding the library gardens and the Route 81 exit / entrance in Sandy Creek.
Thanks for those participating at the Sandy Creek fair. The booth looked great and the club received 2nd prize in Garden design. Thanks also to those that entered flower arrangements. The theme next year for garden design is “Cabin in the Woods”. Be thinking about it.
A big thanks to Bill and Herta Wilson for the lovely picnic and the garden tour. Everyone had a great time! I would love to share pictures from the picnic so if you have some to share please send them to me. There was no regular meeting in July.
Planning Ahead
The September meeting will be held on the 16th at the Pulaski Wesleyan Church. Our speaker will be Sue Yard sharing digital garden “tour”. We will also have a plant swap in the parking lot.
Road trips were mentioned early in the year. If anyone is interested to organize one, please bring it up for discussion.
An open discussion is needed regarding the club purchasing four (4) folding tables and tents. We need your input on this.
See you Wednesday the 19th. 7PM Pulaski Public Library.
